AUGUST BEAUTY FAVORITES
The month of August is unfortunately over, which means the beginning of a new school year or work for most of you guys. Hope you all had an awesome summer break! For me this was the shortest summer break ever (3 weeks only T.T) But I still got to visit some beautiful cities, which I'm very grateful for :) Today I wanted to share with you my favorite beauty items of August. I know it's a little bit late though, but I still wanted to write this post ^^ Hope you guys don't mind (a)
I've never really used eyeshadow, but this totally changed when I got this Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay. This is the perfect palette for girls who want a neutral eye look. The palette contains one shimmer and four matt colors. Perfect for a natural everyday look! It's also great for creating a sexy smokey eye look for the night ;P
This Waterproof 360 Degrees Length Mascara by Yves Rocher is absolute the best mascara I've ever used in my entire life! It increases the length of your eyelashes and gives it a very natural look. When I apply this on my lashes after curling them, it will look like as if I got some fake lashes on :D It looks amazing! It's holds my curl all day and doesn't smudge. Normally my eyelashes aren't even visible, but after using this I can say: "I've got lashes!" ^^
I was searching for a new dark brown eye pencil from Sephora to line my upper eye line and decided to purchase one. I thought I chose the right color, but I purchased a dark purple color instead of dark brown, oops xD Instead, I bought the Contour Eye Pencil 12HR Wear Waterproof by Sephora in shade 32 Tango Night. It's a black purple eye pencil and has little shimmers in it. Hindsight I'm satisfied that I bought this color. It looks gorgeous on the eyes and the purple color isn't very noticable. Also it stays put and doesn't smudge at the end of the day :)
I've heard so many great responses about this concealer, that I decided to give it a go. This is the Full Cover Concealer by MAKE UP FOR EVER in shady number 6 Ivory. This color matches my skin tone perfectly! What I like about this product is the fact that it provides full coverage. Besides, it's also waterproof, so I don't have to worry that the product wears off my face throughout the day. This concealer won't break you out, which is the main reason why I bought it. Definitely the best concealer I've tried so far!
This is the Matte Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 by bareMinerals. I got it in shade 'golden medium', which is for medium skin with yellow-olive undertones. This shade is a little too dark for me, I think the color 'light' would suit me more. With a sun screen underneath, it matches my skin tone perfect, but without, it will look a little bit dark.
This is an amazing foundation that won't cause acne, minimize your pores, gives natural and flawless finish and improve the appearance of your skin over time. This foundation doesn't contain ingredients that can cause any breakout, which is awesome! I've finally found my perfect coverage product. In the past I used foundations and bb creams from different brands, but I always tend to get new breakouts. My skin has now clearing up so much and I haven't got new breakouts while using this foundation. Totally love it! <3
To make the bareMinerals matte foundation matches my skin tone more, I use this Mineral Loose Powder Foundation from Sephora to lighten up the color. It's in shade number 26 medium. This powder was too light for me at first. I haven't used it for a while, but now it comes in handy ^^ I actually can't find this product online anymore. I don't know if it's still available in stores. This foundation gives good coverage and doesn't break me out :)
This No-sebum Mineral Powder by Innisfree has prevent my skin from producing more sebum and made my face makeup last longer and won't glide off. This powder had a lovely scent. It's not only very cheap, but does what it claims to do. It's a great product for oily/combination skin types. I've been using this product daily and it keeps my makeup last all day :)
To remove all my eyemakeup, I use this Soft Eye Makeup Remover from Yves Rocher. It removes all your makeup, even the most stubborn waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It takes off all your makeup without irritating or damaging your skin. It's very gentle on the eyes and also very cheap on sale. I got it on sale for only around 3-4 euro. Normally it cost around 7 euro. I've used this so many times, but it's still full. You only need a little to remove all the makeup. A little goes a long way.
I have been using this Lip Butter from The Body Shop every night to moisturize my lips. It doesn't only make your lips soft and keeps it from dry up, but also smells terrific! It has a dragon fruit scent and smells so good ^^ It's very sweet. This product was for a good cause. The whole sales amount would be donated to Babyhouse, Beelease and Dierenbescherming, which I thought was very good-natured.
I got this Sì Perfumed Body Lotion by Giorgio Armani from my best friend and I have been using it non-stop since then. It has a very pleasant, feminine and soft scent. To me it smells like black grapes, which is very fruity. The scent last long, which is a plus. Most of body lotions won't last long, but this one does. This is my favorite fragrance at the moment. Can't describe how lovely the scent is <3
This is also a fragrance product. It's the Designer Fragrance Oil by Ever Essence. This product was included in the 10minute Memebox. It's a fragrance that comes in a rollerball bottle. Unfortunately I can't find this product anywhere online :S This oil contains no alcohol and the scent last all day. It seriously last all day, which is amazing! I can even smell the scent the next day after I've put it on, which is absolute crazy. I'm so glad that I received this product :) The bottle is small and light to carry around. It smells like roses. A very soft and feminine fragrance.
