EASY BUBBLE TEA RECIPE

First of all, my blog has turned 2 year last Wednesday! (HOORAY) I totally forgot the date :$ Time goes by so fast, I didn't even noticed. I wanted to thank you all for supporting me these two years, by keep reading my posts and visiting my blog. Without you guys this blog wouldn't last this long, so shout out to you all and also my new readers! <3 Hope you will keep following my blog and get back for entertaining or inspiration ^^

So today I have something else for you guys. If you follow me on instagram, you'd probably know that I'm a huge fan of  bubble tea ^^ For you guys who don't what this is, it's actually a drink, originally from Taiwan. It's milk tea, that contains large chewy tapioca pearls. I know there are lots of recipes online, but I still wanted to share my own recipe with you guys :) I always tend to buy ready-to-drink bubble tea in shops. But sometimes it's just better to make your own. You won't only save money, but also be able to create your own flavor and adjust the taste of it ;)

Ingredients:
- 1 tbs of brown sugar
- 1 tbs of honey
- Tapioca pearls
- Water
- 1 sachet of instant matcha latte/ milk tea

When I'm making this recipe, I always use either instant matcha latte by Gold Kili or instant oolong milk tea by Lipton. But you can use any kind of instant milk tea from your desired brand for this recipe. If you can't find instant milk tea at your local asian store, you can also mix milk with black tea, oolong tea or jasmin tea.  Thirsty yet? Let's get into the recipe shall we? ;P

First, take one instant matcha latte or milk tea sachet and put in a high glass or cup. Add the glass/cup for 3/4 with boiling water. Don't add too much water, cause you will be adding tapioca pearls later. Taste if it's sweet enough to your taste, if not add in some honey to make it sweeter. I prefer the drink to be cold, so I let the drink cool for a while and put it in the fridge afterward to cool down.

Second, get your bag with tapioca pearls ready. You can get this at an Asian supermarket. Follow the cook instructions on the back of the package. Mine says to cook for 5 minutes. I prefer lots of tapioca pearls!

Fill a pan half with water. Add in the tapioca pearls. For one person, around 30-40 tapioca pearls will be enough. Bring water to boil on high heat and in the meanwhile stir the pearls, so it won't stick to the bottom. Wait for the pearls to float to the top. Then cover the pan, reduce the heat to half and set the time cooker to 5 minutes. After that, taste one pearl to see if it's soft and chewy as you wish. When the pearls are done cooking, turn the heat off and let the pearls sit covered for another 5 to 10 minutes.

In the meantime prepare the sugar syrup for the tapioca pearls. Add in 1 tbs of brown sugar, 1 tbs of honey and 1 tbs of water into a small bowl. If needed add in more sugar or honey to satisfy your taste.

Remove the tapioca pearls from the pan and add them into your sugar syrup right away. Don't rinse them in cold water or the tapioca pearls will get hard again. Let them soak in the syrup for about 10 minutes. Lastly, get your glass or cup with milk tea/ matcha latte and add in ice and the tapioca pearls without the sugar syrup water.

Et voilà, your own homemade bubble tea! Enjoy your delicious bubble tea guys ^^

Have you ever had bubble tea before and what's your favorite flavor?
